The Solemn Public Act of Opening of the Cause took place
Last Friday, October 16, 2026, the Solemn Public Act of Opening of the Cause of Beatification and Canonization by Confirmation of Cult of the Servant of God Paterna Gundesíndez took place at the Bishopric of Santiago de Compostela, in the presence of the Archbishop of Santiago de Compostela, D. Francisco José Prieto Fernández, the Ecclesiastical Tribunal constituted for this purpose, the Historical Commission, and staff of the CEE, as well as the people of Arnois, and devotees and relatives. One more step in the canonization process of Paterna Gundesíndez.
