Apparitions

In the book by the local physician, very interested in ethnology, Manuel Reimóndez Portela, titled "A Estrada Rural", 2007 edition, page 75, one can read: "vén por tradición que na chamada fonte de Santa Paderna apareceu a santa, de aí o seu nome" ("By tradition we have received the news that in the so-called fountain of Santa Paderna [the variation between Paterna and Paderna derives from linguistic deformations over the centuries] the saint appeared, and from that comes its name").

The apparitions of saints are a not very frequent phenomenon in the history of the Church and of the saints, which gives this enclave a special uniqueness.
